Master Plan Goal To explore the station area’s potential through planning and design recommendations, to make the area a major activity node and an attractive pedestrian environment by taking advantage of nearby projects.
•
Objectives – To increase MRTS ridership and reduce parking demands at the station by recommending alternative feeder bus routes. – To improve the pedestrian environment and to increase connectivity by encouraging mixed use and usable open spaces. – To provide a sustainable design framework and explore opportunities to accommodate development that can be environmentally sensitive and improve the quality of the urban environment. – To demonstrate the TOD planning process as a model that could be used for other station areas.
