happy new year! let’s get healthy together

JAN 1

Welcome and Happy New Year! It’s time to begin your 2015 journey to a healthier and happier you! I love the New Year, because it’s a brilliant excuse to just start fresh. Any goals that you’ve either been working on, or have been meaning to work on can now commence with a clean slate. If you feel as though you struggled getting through the holidays as your healthiest self– you aren’t alone! It’s a tough time for many of us. Even if you were able to maintain your healthy eating and fitness habits (bravo, by the way!) the New Year is still a great time to make some changes. Let’s KICKSTART our healthy habits for the New Year by challenging ourselves for the next 31 days! For many of us, just having the accountability and someone to go through the changes with will help us to stay on track– and that’s why I’m here! Let’s do this together. Rather than making 8–10 New Years resolutions and barely sticking with any of them, this month, I want you to focus on one. ONLY one. A huge part of the reason that only 8% of people stick with their resolutions each year is because most people choose TOO MANY things to work on improving at once. Having goals is great– and having a lot of goals is even better! But if we want success, sometimes fewer, short-term goals can help us find it more effectively and efficiently. Take a second to consider how much progress you can make in just one month, focusing only on this resolution and no other. What can your goal be by the end of January? Keep this goal simple and fairly specific. We all have so many competing priorities, it’s best to keep this goal challenging but achievable. Let’s take the next 31 days to show ourselves how much we can accomplish when we set our minds to making a change, and focus on that change exclusively! By the end of January you’ll have likely established some healthy habits from the change, and be excited to incorporate those changes regularly. Once you feel ready, you can begin to tackle the next goals towards your ultimate resolution and make more great changes! I’ll be on YouTube EVERY DAY this month to go through the challenge with you! I’ll bring you tips, tricks, recipes, workouts and more to help you succeed! Please comment on the channel and let me know how it’s going for you. Ask questions, give tips, share advice–let’s take advantage of this amazing platform to better ourselves together! I’ll also post links to PDF downloads in my daily videos EVERY DAY this month to help you succeed! We’ll check-in on how your goal is going each Sunday! Until tomorrow, fill out the 2015 Goal Sheet and Accountabilty Calendar attached. Take some time to determine your January goal and weekly milestones, and hang them somewhere you look regularly as a reminder for you throughout the month! Mine will be on my bathroom mirror :) I hope you’re as excited as I am to become the best version of yourself that you’ve ever known! Cheers! Alyssia
