BENEFITS: HistoChrono-Map provides:

HistoChrono-­‐Map   web-­‐based   learning   system   was   designed  and  developed  to  facilitate  the  students’  learning   of   World   History.   This   system   emphasize   mainly   on   using   chronologic   (interactive   timeline)   and   thematic   (concept   map)   information   representation   with   the   integration   of   multimedia  elements  and  eight  thinking  maps.  This  system   has   been   implemented   with   the   structured   evidential   argumentation   module   (SEAM)   in   guiding   the   students   to   formulate   well-­‐structured   essay   with   supporting   argumentation   point   such   as   factual   evidence,   substantive   and  meta-­‐concept.  

• A solution of well-designed interactive modes of timeline and concept map that help to simplify the learning of world history and reduce cognitive load of learning • A platform that facilitates online collaborative learning activities and enhances educational experience with innovative learning tools. • Enable educators easily to add, customize and distribute learning modules to other online community.

To simplify the learning of world history and reduce cognitive load of learning through multiple-text by using interactive timeline and concept map. To provide a platform that facilitates online collaborative learning activities and enhances educational experience with innovative learning tools. To provide online collaboration platform by integrating structured evidential argumentation module (SEAM), thinking map, quiz modules, multimedia elements and other innovative pedagogical features.
