General Course Policies
Failure to complete the midterm exam and the written assignments for section one may result in your being withdrawn from the course.
There are no make-up exams available, however, every effort will be made to accommodate schedule conflicts and emergencies, as exams may be taken at other times and locations than those specified in the Class Schedule Booklet, provided arrangements are made in advance through the instructor and the changes are within a reasonable time frame.
All work must be the original and independent work of the student; cheating or plagiarism of any form may result in a grade of “F” in the course or on a given assignment; students should review the “Student Rights and Responsibilities” section of the current catalog.
An incomplete (“I”) grade will not be awarded unless the student has completed at least one of the three graded activities listed in the “Grading” section above.
Special needs students who may need accommodations for this class should contact the Office of the Coordinator of Students with Special Needs at 729-6079 in Building C-1 on the Niceville Campus.
Please note that cell phones, pagers, and other such electronic devices must be turned off during class time. Communication by electronic device during class is prohibited unless expressly designated as part of the learning activities. Where emergency or employment situations require access to electronic communication services, arrangements may be made in advance with the instructor.

WRITTEN HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTS Homework Grading The homework is divided into two sections, each worth up to 50 points or 10% of your grade. It is not necessary to answer all questions correctly to receive the maximum points, but it is necessary to have completed all of the assignments. Homework which contains all of the questions and which demonstrates substantial effort in the responses will receive 50 points. Homework that is partially complete or homework with answers that are less than substantial may receive less than 50 points.
Submitting Homework
Be sure that your full name is on all homework assignments. Homework may be typed or handwritten, provided it is legible; typed homework is strongly preferred. It is not necessary to write out the questions, but you may do so if it helps organize your thoughts. Answers may be in the form of lists, short answer fragments, complete sentences, or paragraphs as appropriate to the question. Do not submit each lesson/chapter separately, save up the assignments and submit them when you have completed the entire section one and then when you have completed all lessons in section two. Homework may be submitted in any of the following ways:
