We would like to inform you that Politecnico di Milano organizes a series of free of charge Italian language courses for the international students who will regularly enrol in one of its programmes for the a.y. 2013/2014, such as a two-week Italian course at Politecnico di Milano – Como campus, from Sept. 2 to 13, 2013 and many Italian language courses both in the 1st and in the 2nd semesters. Two-week Intensive Italian language course : Como campus: 2 - 13 September, 2013 Application deadline: June 18 – July 5, 2013 (at 12.00 pm local time). Note that if the number of the applications is higher than the number of the students who can be accepted (130), the application will be closed before the foreseen deadline. This language course is addressed to the exchange students who have been admitted to study at Politecnico di Milano from the Autumn semester of the a.y. 2013/2014 (Erasmus, and Non_EU exchanges, Double Degrees programmes, Unitech project, MEDES programme, etc. ). Levels offered: beginners, pre-intermediate and intermediate. For exchange students who have not studied Italian yet or want to improve their language proficiency at elementary/intermediate levels. The advanced level is not offered. The places offered are limited: the first 130 applicants for the two-week Italian language course who have been accepted for an exchange programme at Politecnico di Milano in the a.y. 2013/2014 will be admitted to this language course. The applicants who will exceed the number of available places, can apply for another Italian language course that will be held by Politecnico di Milano over the academic year. [email protected] Course schedule: The two-week course is intensive: 50 hours approximately, including the entrance and final tests. Lessons: Monday to Friday, 5 hours per day, from 9:30 am to 4:00 pm. All students who will be admitted to this language course have to start attending from Monday, 2 September 2013. The students who will arrive after Sept. 2 will not be admitted to the Italian classes. Upon request and after their attendance to the language course students may be provided a confirmation of attendance only if they attend minimum 75% of the Italian lessons. (Credit points are not applicable. It is not an EILC course). The course also offers some integration activities, which are optional. Students can apply for the integration activities after their arrival in Como.
Attendance to the Italian language course is free of charge. Students have to pay for: - their own travel and living expenses - a small fee for the course materials - the integration activities fee (optional) On-line application form: http://www.como.polimi.it/links/intern/italianlanguage13.html The students residences in Como do not arrange accommodations for temporary stays and most of them are usually available between the second half and the end of September. These username and password allow candidates to access the on-line application form for the two-week Italian language course only. Students cannot login by using the personal code and username for the exchange application form. Milano in Milan next Sept. 2013. These candidates are invited not to apply for the two-week Italian language course in Como. Should they apply for, they would not be accepted. Other Brazilian students who will participate to the CIÊNCIA SEM FRONTEIRAS 2013/2014 programme but who are not scholarship holders can apply for the two-week language course in Como and will be accepted according to their exchange programme at Politecnico di Milano and the places available for this language course.
