January 2014 8: (Juniors): Required Extended Essay Orientation Meeting to review guidelines and requirements of the extended essay. (4:00-6:00PM) 15: (Parents): PAC Parent Advisory Council) Meeting in the Media Center at 4:30 PM. This is open to any parent interested in being a part of the IB program. 22: (Juniors): Candidates are required to read the assessment criteria required on the EE and submit a written reflection Managebac commenting on each of the assessment criteria and their thoughts. 23: (Juniors and Seniors): Global Gathering in the Media Center during 3 rd lunch with Foreign Exchange Students. 29: (Juniors): Candidates must submit an area to the IB Coordinator in which they plan to write. Area is defined as a content area of a class.
February 2014 10-13: (Seniors): Spanish B SL: Written Assignment: External Assessment for IB. 13: (Juniors): Submit the name of your EE supervisor to Mrs. Eastep through the EE proposal form on Managebac. Include your research question for approval. You will need to return your signed Mentor/Mentee form signed by you as well as by your supervisor. This can be placed in the plastic bucket outside of the IB Office door. 19: (Parents): PAC (Parent Advisory Council) Meeting in the Media Center at 4:30 P.M. this is open to any parent interested in being a part of the IB program. 27: (Juniors): All candidates must have read a sample EE which was emailed to them and reflect on how the graders assessed it. The written reflection should be approximately two pages long and show the IB Coordinator that you fully understand how your EE will be graded. September 2014 17: (Parents): IB Parent Advisory Council meeting in the Pueblo West High School Media Center. 4:30-5:30 PM. All are welcome! 18: (Juniors): All students must have met with their supervisor to review the draft with the assessment rubric. An assessment rubric with student comments on it must be submitted to the Coordinator. 25: (Juniors/Seniors): Junior Induction 6:30 PM at Mrs. Eastep’s home. Please bring a covered dish and a lawn chair. 30: (Seniors): Extended Essays: Second draft of EE is due on turnitin.com
