IIUM SECTOR FOCUSED CAREER FAIR 2012 (VIRTUAL) Career fairs have always had the advantage of being a single platform where potential employees are able to interact with potential employers in a more relaxed atmosphere. Participants are able to explore career and internship options as well as find out what companies require. The Virtual Career Fair on the other hand plans to emulate the same thing as the physical career fair but without the limitations associated with the physical career fair. Candidates can interact with recruiters from the comfort and convenience of their home or office anywhere in the world. Virtual Career Fairs also provide the chance for recruiters to prescreen resumes, then target potential employees during the physical career fair. Leveraging from career fairs conducted annually by universities, Sector Focused Career Fair 2012(SFCF) aims to connect students with industries by creating awareness of career choices path available in the industry. For 2012, our emphasized would be on the Engineering and Finance industry. However, the career awareness bit covering 11 sectors namely; Oil & Gas, Electronics & Electrical, IT, Telecommunication, Biotech, Finance, Accounting, Healthcare, Tourism, FMCG and Education.
