Enzyme fractions were analyzed by 12% sodium dodecyl sulfate-polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis (SDS-PAGE) and visualized by staining with Coomassie blue R250. Lane M, Molecular mass Marker; Lane 1-9, elution fractions of purified recombinant HjLAD. Cell pellet obtained from 200 ml of cell culture was used for purification of HjLAD. A total of 5 µl purified enzyme was loaded from each elution fraction in the SDS-PAGE. The specific activity of HjLAD was 84.5 U/mg of protein.
