햵 A minimum 3” clearance is required behind IPS switchboards containing distribution transformers (15-300kVA). Distribution transformer minimum size requirements are based on 150 degree rise TP1 rated units — aluminum or copper bus. Consult Siemens for size requirements related to other ratings including K-Rated. Outdoor sections with transformers must also have rear door added to that section for ventilation. Stacked transformers in a section are limited to 45kVA at this time. Contact Siemens for updated information. 햶 For CLH contactor only, up to 6 in 20” and 25” wide section can be mounted and 9 in a 32” wide section.

Less Really is More Less time to install IPS means more resources available for other projects. Traditional electrical installations require labor hours to be committed to mounting and wiring electrical panels and transformers in the field. Because the IPS arrives as a complete assembly with all components installed and wired at the factory, this labor requirement is eliminated, saving greatly on installation time.

IPS Integrates Before IPS

Less space for IPS means more space for other profitable uses. By integrating components that are typically individually mounted, IPS can reduce the space requirements for typical electrical equipment installations by up to 40%. This smaller footprint frees up valuable square footage for other profitable uses.

After IPS

Less cost means more profits. Utilizing IPS reduces material handling time, installation time, and material costs. Since labor and material costs are traditionally estimated at the start of a project, unforeseen events can often cause installation costs to come in over budget. Utilizing IPS not only reduces installation costs, but also eliminates the unexpected events that can cause budget overages.

IPS Elevation and Single Line

Distribution Section up to 1200A Lighting Panelboards up to 400A Transformers up to 300 KVA Lighting Contactors Power Monitoring Lighting Control Panels Tenant Metering Transient Voltage Surge Suppression (TVSS) Building Automation Systems (BAS)

The modular design of the Siemens Integrated Power System switchboard allows the user to integrate electrical distribution equipment such as panelboards and dry type transformers, power monitoring, transient voltage surge suppression and environmental controls, that typically mount in multiple enclosures into one UL 891 rated switchboard line-up. By consolidating these components into one integrated switchboard, the owner reaps the benefits of faster installation, smaller footprints, easier commissioning, and reduced material handling costs.

40% Less Space

84 hours to install Individual components 8 hours to install IPS 90% less installation time

Energy Savings and Management

Energy Savings IPS can integrate Siemens new i–3 lighting control panels which utilize smart breakers to help manage energy costs. The i–3 is designed to provide a simple, flexible, compact solution for controlling branch lighting circuits remotely via a time schedule or an external signal.

Tenant Metering Integrating Siemens unique embedded metering solution into IPS provides an innovative cost and space saving solution for allocating energy costs to residential and commercial applications. This Tenant Billing System improves cash flow, allows immediate pass-on of electric rate increases and helps building owners control costs. Tenants are assured they are paying their fair share for energy use and are saving money through energy conservation.
