Justice and Peace Netherlands is committed to a just and sustainable world. We support human rights defenders who work at the local level worldwide with trainings, our temporary relocation programme Shelter City and advocacy. We are also dedicated to an equitable treatment and protection of refugees. In The Netherlands we organise local Welkom Hier events together with local partners and refugees. On a political level we advocate for a human dimension, dignity and uniformity in the Dutch and European Migration policy. In terms of Communication the main challenge of Justice and Peace is to broaden our basis of Dutch and international supporters. Therefore our communication strategy focuses on visibility and outreach. Amongst others via social media, our website and our online platforms Shelter City and Welkom Hier. Justice and Peace Netherlands offers the following internship from April– July 2017:

Intern online communication / social media 32 hours, starting in March is possible The internship includes the following activities:  Co-development and implementation of the corporate social media plan;  Writing and/or editing blogs, interviews, press releases, online articles, opinion articles and factsheets. Possibly also other forms of content, like films and campaigns;  Contributing to the maintenance and analysis of the social media platforms and websites of Justice and Peace;  Media monitoring regarding national and international developments in the field of human rights and migration, Dutch and EU policies related to Justice and Peace projects, identifying chances to respond to current events, in regard of the visibility and reputation of Justice and Peace;  Support and assist the organisation and promotion of events;  Other activities that may come up during the internship. We are looking for candidates with the following competences:  At least a third year student Bachelor level in Media / Communications or a discipline related to (international) human rights and affinity/experience with communication;  Excellent oral and written skills English language, possibly Dutch, French, Spanish, offline and online, for different target groups;  Able to translate complex information into clear and appealing messages to the relevant parties;  Affinity with the field of human rights and migration;  Result-oriented, flexible, stress resistant, professional, team player, open and creative mind, analytical skills. The internship fee is €400 gross per month, with a full working week of 36 hours. We also provide full reimbursement of travel expenses (2nd class public transport). Are you interested?
