Wellspring Living – Development Team Intern Organization Type: Non-profit, Faith-Based, 50+ Employees Position Type: Unpaid Internship Department: Development Direct Report: Communications Coordinator Hours: Monday – Friday; 20-24 hours per week; Flexible Schedule Location: Woodruff Volunteer Service Center Duration: 3 Month Minimum Travel Requirements: Minimal Driving Requirements: Must have access to reliable transportation during work hours Education: Pursuance of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university preferably in communications, marketing, business administration, public relations, or a media related field preferred Experience: At least 1 year in an office setting preferred Job Summary: The Development Team Intern offers support and collaborative voice to the Communications Coordinator, who oversees all external communication, organizational events, and third-party events for Wellspring Living. The Administrative Intern will directly assist with managing administrative tasks and providing assistance at additional events when needed. Task Description - The duties of this position include but are not limited to the following: Main Responsibilities: • Conduct research opportunities for the Development team including donor and company research • Prepare Media Kits for staff and Development team • Manage and keep inventory of marketing collateral and supplies • Update records and database through Constant Contact • Organize and revamp filing system • Follow up with contacts, partners, volunteers, and public via email and phone • Coordinate, schedule, and plan Speaker's Bureau events • Assist with booth setup, breakdown, and working tables at events Qualifications: • Determination of satisfactory preliminary criminal history background check and clean Motor Vehicle Record in cooperation with the volunteer application process • Documentation of at least two professional, educational, or personal references that attest to the person's capabilities of performing the duties of the position and to the person's suitability of working with or around children Skills: • Ability to work in a professional environment • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships • Administrative, organizational, and detail-orientation skills desired • Good communication skills, well spoken and articulate on the phone and in an office setting
