Purpose & Accountability
Principal Accountabilities
To undertake the 2 year placement scheme to learn about the business of Tokio Marine Kiln (TMK) and work towards ACII status, with the intention that he/she will subsequently be placed permanently with a division within TMK Group (NB: a permanent placement is conditional on business needs and graduate performance). The role includes responsibility for: To undertake placements in different areas of the company and achieve the learning objectives set at each placement (i.e. syndicate business, company business, UMAP, Claims). Placements are generally for 3 months, though may vary to suit the requirements of the business. To carry out tasks as required at each placement to a satisfactory standard, and demonstrate genuine commitment and engagement to each team throughout each placement. To champion the company values and work in accordance with the organisational behaviours. To be aware of and comply with the relevant rules and regulations in relation to financial crime & Conduct. To develop both the technical and personal skills required of an individual working within the Lloyd's and/or Company insurance markets. To consistently demonstrate the behaviours and attitudes expected of a TMK Graduate Trainee. To attend training courses as necessary in order to attain the skills required to carry out specific tasks and in order to increase general insurance knowledge. To take personal ownership of opportunities for training and development, in liaison with HR. To commit to undertake the study required to successfully pass all examinations and other course components that form part of the graduate scheme. To achieve success in the ACII examinations, with a view to being 75% qualified by the end of the 2-year scheme.
To pass the Lloyd's & London Market Introductory Test (LLMIT) within 6 months of joining the company. To act as a 'buddy' to new graduates who join the graduate scheme. To engage with an HR mentor regularly on your development and rotation feedback. Technical Capabilities
Expecting or achieved a good honours degree in any discipline. Proven track record of strong academic and personal achievements. Strong numeracy, communication, analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to work as part of a team. Fluent in English. Demonstrate experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
