Route Driver/Merchandiser The following description is representative of the duties performed by an R&K Route Driver/Merchandiser. Other duties and schedules may be required as needed. R&K Drivers perform Direct to Shelf Distribution (DSD) of refrigerated and shelf stable natural packaged foods and beverages to grocery stores. Route drivers operate company vehicles and deliver products safely and efficiently. Routes typically start at 4am. Route drivers typically work four ten hour days. R&K Route Driver is an active position, with standing, walking, kneeling, stooping, bending and reaching high shelves throughout the day. This position also requires that you interact with store personnel and provide friendly and efficient customer service. An R&K Driver/Merchandiser has the following primary responsibilities: • • • • • • • • • • • • •
Complete pre route functions Load truck Safely navigate between account stops Pre-check product Check out credits Check-in new product Record LCD’s Work Back Stock Stock (merchandise) Incoming Product, to include facing product and aligning shelf tags Write Inventories/Order Write Credits and put in marked/dated box in cooler Flag OOS (out of stocks) Flag back stock
This role is the most common for R&K Drivers. All the major service components offered by R&K are performed.
