ROLE AND PURPOSE: To assist the public with the Food & Nutrition Services information and to support the Maintenance Coordinator and Administrative Staff with data management for the office, schools and catering. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent. Special Knowledge/ Skills: Must have strong communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively with the public, parents and school officials. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher and Power point preferred. Must be detailed-oriented and produces accurate work Typing skills of 40 wpm minimum. Understanding and proficient use of office equipment required. Must be able to address internal and external customers concerns in a courteous and respectful manner. Bilingual is preferred. Minimum Experience: Two years’ school related or four years out of district secretarial and general office experience. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: I. INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT A. None. II.
SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION CLIMATE A. Receive incoming visitors, communications and channels to appropriate personnel.
III.
SCHOOL/ORGANIZATIONAL IMPROVEMENT A. Prepares work orders from data submitted by phone and by campus for FNS and AISD Maintenance.
IV.
ADMINISTRATION AND FISCAL/FACILITIES MANAGEMENT A. Maintains and updates work order files. B. Responsible for the management and distribution of keys for all kitchen facilities. C. Assist with distributing, and maintaining cafeteria supplies and forms for each campus. D. Prepares print shop requests and reports to include monthly menus for all campuses. E. Receives and records all product samples as needed. F. Organized and copies the marketing data for all products and programs.

SCHOOL/COMMUNITY RELATIONS A. Supports the District and Food & Nutrition Services mission, goals and core values. B. Frequent verbal interaction with fellow employees, teachers and parents; must have a good rapport with students, staff, co-workers or parents.

PROFESSIONAL GROWTH AND DEVELOPMENT A. Attend In-Service training and workshops whenever possible to learn new techniques and operations.

MISCELLANEOUS A. Assist all administrative staff with projects as needed. B. Assist the Free/Reduced Meal Program personnel when the need arises. C. Other projects as assigned by the Maintenance Coordinator, Assistant Director or Director. D. Must be alert to channel influx of incoming communications while greeting visitors to Food & Nutrition Services; must prioritize and complete assignments. The job is mentally demanding; numerous activities happening simultaneously; time pressure constraints.
