ROLE AND PURPOSE: Provide a comprehensive guidance and counseling program for all children in grades PreK-6 and specifically provide services to meet the special needs of his/her assigned caseload; consult with teachers, parents and staff to enhance their effectiveness in helping children’s educational, personal, social and career development; and provide support to other elementary educational programs.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: Master’s Degree from accredited college or university Valid Texas Counselor’s Certification Experience: Three years teaching experience MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: I. INSTRUCTIONAL MANAGEMENT Teach the elementary guidance curriculum Guide individual and groups of pupils through the development of educational, personal, social, or career plans Plan and evaluate the campus guidance program II.
