We are currently recruiting a Graduate Process Engineer to join our Team in Kilrush.

Reports to:

Quality and Technical Manager

Scope: 

 

The successful candidate will possess a high level of initiative, ability to handle multiple responsibilities, and have project management experience to ensure successful completion of projects assigned by the Quality and Technical Manager. Projects will be designed to assist the plant in achieving the business goals and objectives as they relate to productivity, quality, and service. Proven ability to work effectively and pro-actively in a dynamic Team environment essential with a flexible and confident problem solving ability.

Responsibilities: 

Ensure compliance to all Environmental, Health & Safety site procedures.



Research and recommend changes to the manufacturing process to increase efficiency and/or reduce costs, increase product quality, or improve safety.



Perform Root-Cause Analysis with process and test data to implement Corrective and Preventive actions (CAPA).



Respond to manufacturing problems in a timely manner to maintain and support production.



Support and coordinate the implementation of capital investment programs.



Maintaining customer specifications and supporting contract review.



Lead WCM Green Belt projects from planning to implementation: provide cost saving analysis, feasibility studies (DOE, Minitab) and technical solutions as assigned.



Maintain SOP’s to comply to traceability requirements of ISO Standards as well as Pharmaceutical, Food & Automotive industries.



Provide technical support on processing and process capabilities to Customer Service, Sales and Quality Assurance



Network and share best practises within our Global Teams.



Develop relationships with key customers and suppliers.



Travel as business requires.



Other reasonable duties as required by the Company.

Qualifications & Skills 

A degree in Engineering, Materials or Science.



High level of PC skills.



Self-motivated, able to make independent decisions.



Strong interpersonal and communication skills.



Excellent project management skills.



Able to make independent decisions as well as operate in a team environment.



Understanding of lean six sigma and ability to contribute and manage portions of a world class manufacturing (WCM) program is desirable.
