John Deere Outstanding Young Farmers Twitter Contest Official Rules THE CONTEST IS OPEN TO LEGAL RESIDENTS OF CANADA ONLY. DO NOT ENTER THIS CONTEST UNLESS YOU ARE A LEGAL RESIDENT OF, AND LOCATED IN, CANADA. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. Eligibility: The contest is open to legal residents of Canada. In Canada, entrants must have reached the age of majority in their province or territory of residence at the time of commencement of the Contest Period. Employees, suppliers, representatives and agents of Deere & Company and John Deere Canada ULC, their affiliated companies, subsidiaries, authorized John Deere dealers and advertising and promotional agencies and the immediate families and/or members of the households of any of the above are not eligible to enter or win. Timing and Drawing: The contest period begins on November 26, 2012 at 8:00 AM Central Standard Time (CST) and ends on November 30, 2012 at 11:59 PM CST (the “Contest Period”). Winner will be selected in a random drawing held on December 1, 2012 at 11:00AM CST from among all eligible entries received. How to Enter: To enter, entrants must tweet on Twitter using the hashtag “#OYF2012” during the Contest Period. The authorized account subscriber is deemed to be the natural person who is assigned an e-mail address by (1) an Internet access provider, (2) online service provider, or (3) other organization responsible for assigning e-mail addresses of the domains associated with the submitted e-mail address. This information will be used to contact the winners by mail and/or e-mail. A maximum of one entry/registration per person/household/street/email address is permitted. Any person submitting multiple entries or registrations will be disqualified from the contest. Conditions of Entry: By entering, entrants agree to accept, abide by and acknowledge compliance with these Official Rules, including but not limited to all eligibility requirements, and the decisions of Deere & Company, which rules and decisions are final and binding on all entrants. Prizes: One (1) Grand Prize – The grand prize winner will receive one (1) 1/8 John Deere Monster Treads Radio Control Gator with an approximate total value of $89.99. Prize consists of only one grand prize. The odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. In order to win, the selected entrants must comply with all of the terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all such requirements and in Canada, in order to be eligible to win, the selected entrants chosen must also correctly answer, unaided, a time limited, mathematical, skilltesting question.
Prize Redemption: A selected entrant will be notified by mail or e-mail sent to the address or e-mail address provided by him/her, within 15 business days of date of the random draw and will have 15 business days from the date of the notification to respond by following the instructions provided in such notification. A valid response to such notification must include the selected entrant's mailing address, address of residence, age, and the correct answer to the mathematical skill-testing question which will be provided in the notification. Following receipt of a valid response, the selected entrant will be sent a standard declaration and release form by mail. Upon receipt, the selected entrant must complete and sign the standard declaration and release form, confirming compliance with the Official Rules and releasing Deere & Company, John Deere Canada ULC and their affiliates, and their authorized dealers and respective advertising and promotional agencies from all liability. This form must be returned to Deere & Company within 15 business days of receipt. If the selected entrant cannot be contacted, does not respond within 15 business days of the date of the notification, does not correctly answer the mathematical skill-testing question without assistance and within the time provided (if applicable), fails to complete, sign and return the standard declaration and release form within the specified time, or otherwise fails to comply with these Official Rules, he or she will be disqualified and an alternate entrant may be selected in his or her place at random from all remaining entries generated during the applicable draw period month. Deere & Company and John Deere Canada ULC are not responsible for late, lost, stolen, delayed, illegible, incomplete, destroyed, misdirected or unsuccessful efforts to notify selected entrants. The prize is not transferable, and must be accepted as awarded. Deere & Company and/or John Deere Canada ULC are not responsible if the prize is lost, stolen or mutilated and the prize will not be replaced. No exchange for cash will be permitted and no refunds are allowed. John Deere will cover the cost of delivery and prize from a dealer located closest to the winner.
