Caltrans and SANDAG are hosting a public workshop on the Interstate 5/Genesee Avenue Interchange Project to answer questions about upcoming construction.

Construction of the I-5/Genesee Avenue interchange is scheduled to begin in February and is anticipated to take approximately three years to complete. Members of the public are invited to attend to learn more about the project and what to expect during construction. The project will replace the existing six lane Genesee Avenue overpass with a ten lane bridge that will accommodate current and future traffic demands. The project will improve east and west traffic flow on Genesee Avenue, enhance access to and from I-5, and improve bicycle and pedestrian connectivity to nearby businesses and transit centers.
