indergarten enjoyed the vibrant colors of the changing leaves, and observed the seasonal changes in nature as autumn came upon us. We continue to develop our classroom routines. Our focus this month were bats, spiders, squirrels, autumn, pumpkins, fire safety, Christopher Columbus, our five senses, and skeletons. In math, we practiced calendar and weather routines, learned more about number formation, number sequences, and patterns. Students have many practical and fun opportunities to practice counting, number recognition, and math stories throughout the day. The students are learning to listen to letter sounds, practice letter formation, and note how letters work within words. We are becoming a community of learners in our classroom! We are now reading the third adventure (Mummies in the Morning) of the Magic Tree House series. The sight words this month are - green, blue, purple, pink, can, like, go. The Gingerbread Boy sent us a postcard from Florida and Colorado. Mr. & Mrs. Harbaugh saw the Gingerbread Boy in London, England and snapped some pictures of him. The students are constantly brainstorming ways to catch the Gingerbread Boy.
