Lake Alma Trail Information
November, 2012
How you can help the Lake Alma Trail: 1. Hike or run the Lake Alma Trail and discover the beauty of nature in your own backyard. Foot traffic helps keep the trail open. 2. Carry a small trash bag and fill it as you hike. Take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints. 3. Volunteer to help build and maintain the trail. For a good workout and lots of fun with good people, you’ll want to do a maintenance trip. To get involved, contact Harry McWaters

Lake Alma Trail is located on Mountain Grove Rd. just north of the Alma water tanks. To get to the trailhead, walk north from the fishing dock on the paved Nature Trail until it turns back toward the picnic area. The Lake Alma Trail begins here. You’ll hike 3.6 miles and return to the fishing dock from across the dam. Watch for round yellow trail markers. Spur trails are marked with orange markers.

Historic structures are located along several sections of the trail. Please leave all historic artifacts in place for others to enjoy.
