Biomass is a hot topic in the city of Franklin, MN, where renewable biomass pellets and a new boiler are now heating three buildings! Join us for a tour to find out how city hall, the city garage, and the fire hall are being heated with biomass pellets and Minnesota-made machines. Franklin is a city of about 500 people without natural gas service, and using biomass can be cost competitive with propane. We’ll also talk generally about biomass energy opportunities in West Central, MN— as well as solar energy and incentives for renewable energy.
