Quad City Leadership Academy Meet Your Facilitator…
Program Intention
Designed to make you a more effective leader in your organization and community, discussions of leadership topics are led by Ginny Wilson-Peters.
As the President & Owner of Integrity Integrated, Ginny Wilson -Peters shares her passion and leadership expertise by coaching, teaching, and consulting with businesses leaders locally, regionally, and around the world. She is also a lecturer for the University of Iowa Evening MBA Program and has taught courses on leadership and personal development for more than 17 years.
The program’s mission is to create, build and connect community leaders to provide them the tools necessary to create positive change in the Quad City community.
Connect with Local Leaders Learn from established community leaders in an informal setting. Each meeting will feature local leaders from our host companies as well as other leaders in the community. Not only will you gain insight in to our guest speakers’ leadership journeys, but they will also share valuable leadership advice with the group.
Team Project Participants will work in teams on a project which may be researching a current issue facing our community, working with an organization on an existing community event or creating their own project. Through this project, you will have the opportunity to apply your new leadership skills in a group setting and build relationships with your fellow participants. Past projects have included working with schools and various non-profit organizations.
2017 Meeting Details Dates: February 3 March 31 February 17 April 21 March 3 May 5 March 17 May 19 Time: 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. (Noon)
Testimonials “The Quad City Leadership Academy was an extremely insightful program. Not only does the program help participants build a network of both peers and business professionals, it also teaches important leadership skills, and introduces participants to a wide range of local nonprofits and businesses that they might never have the chance to interact with otherwise. Participants will have the chance to hear about a variety of leadership approaches, many of which can be applied to professional lives today and used as a base for developing their own personal leadership style.” - Beth Grabin, QCR Holdings
"What an eye opening experience this has been! Eight weeks of leadership skills training, unbelievable speakers and great tours of some of the most interesting businesses in the QCA, plus an opportunity to make a difference to one of our QCA high schools. This program is truly remarkable and obviously very well respected in the Quad City Area by seeing the professionals who opened their doors and welcomed us with open arms. The most rewarding take away from our time was our service project. I believe that service projects like this are a perfect way to use all of the skills needed to be a leader. I still can’t believe that we put together something so cool in such a short time. I am so thankful to have had the opportunity to participate in QCLA 2016.” - Stephen A. Quested, MetroLINK
*Expect at least 16—20 additional hours to be spent on group project meetings outside of class.
