The Lenovo® RackSwitch™ G8332 is built with top performance with 32 QSFP+ ports, ultra-low latency and 2.56 Tbps throughput. This enterpriseclass, full-featured L2 and L3 data center switch delivers line-rate, high-bandwidth switching, filtering, and traffic queuing without delaying data. Large data center-grade buffers keep traffic moving. The G8332 makes for an ideal solution for applications such as high performance computing, financial applications, Hosting Environments, and Cloud Designs in Enterprise, Web 2.0 and virtualized data centers.
The G8332 is design for Cloud with support for OpenFlow which helps easily create software defined virtual networks (SDN) and enables a remote controller to modify the behavior of network devices. In addition, the G8332 supports VXLAN, in hardware, for network virtualization through overlays helping deliver faster reliable on-demand capabilities. Redundant power and fans along with numerous high availability features equip the switch for businesssensitive traffic, while converged enhanced Ethernet can help deliver value for iSCSI, NAS and FCoE storage environments.
The high-density G8332 Ethernet aggregation switch enables clients to own an end-to-end flat 2-Tier network based on industry standards using Lenovo switches and servers. The G8332 is an ideal spine/ aggregation switch to use when connecting a number of switches such as the Lenovo RackSwitch or embedded Ethernet offerings for Flex System™ with a 40 GbE uplink port at the access layer. The G8332 also provides clients a feature-rich design with key features such as Converged Enhance Ethernet (CEE)/Data Center Bridging (DCB), and enterprise-class Layer 2 and Layer 3 functionalities at an attractive price point.
