YMCA value-based programs are designed to help young people build self-esteem, strengthen positive values and establish healthy behaviors - creating a foundation for youth in which to grow and develop into contributing adults. This Fall, the YMCA has teamed up with the Southern Door School District, Ministry Door County Medical Center, and the Raibrook Foundation to offer a variety of after school programming. Participants will receive a nutritious snack, meet new friends, and learn a new skill all while having fun!! The Let’s Go Southern Door program will bus children in Grades 1 to 8 from Southern Door School to the YMCA to take part in values-based programming on Tuesdays and Thursdays from October 28 through December 18 (8 weeks - no class November 27).

Children participating in Let’s Go Southern Door programming MUST be enrolled in one of the following classes Class Swim Lessons Dolphin Club Doorfins

To Enroll: Call 743-4949 or come to the Sturgeon PROGRAM SCHEDULE: Bay Program Center to register (Oct. 20- Oct. 23) Transportation: Bus to the YMCA Specify Let’s Go Southern Door program to get (depart school at 3:15 pm) the discounted fee and to be placed onto the busing Arrive at the Y: 3:30 pm to 3:40 pm roster. NO LATE ENROLLMENTS WILL BE ACCEPTED due to busing coordination

NOTE:

Parents will need to pick children up at the Door County YMCA Sturgeon Bay Program Center after classes as there are NO return buses back to Southern Door.

• Enrollment includes programming on BOTH Tuesdays and Thursdays after school. • Partial registrations will not be accepted unless approved on an individual basis by the YMCA and the Southern Door School District. • Parents will need to pick children up at the YMCA after classes, as there are no return buses to Southern Door. • Fees are subsidized through grants and YMCA financial assistance to ensure that all students can equally take part in this great opportunity. At 4:30 pm, any participants left in the Let’s Go Southern Door program (awaiting later classes), will transition to physical activity session (After School Sports). • Future session fees will be subsidized at differing levels in coordination with grant terms Similar programming will take place from January through April (watch for future flyers regarding these later sessions).
