Synod Youth Board Maddy La Russo, SYB President
Dear Friends, We invite your church youth family to join us for Godstock High School Youth Gathering of the Northwest Synod of Wisconsin. The weekend will feature the band Lightswitch, and speakers Missy Buttry Rock and Andrew Rock. Missy is a decorated national champion track star, and her husband, Andrew, is an Olympic Gold Medalist. Once again, all information and registration materials can be found on the Synod Youth Board website, sybnw.org. Here you’ll be able to take a look at speaker bios, band information, and theme overview. You can also download registration and t-shirt form, health & release forms for your own use, a poster to promote Godstock, and information about getting your youth involved with the Synod Youth Board. This website will also have information for Christ Jam, the middle school gathering, in March. Direct your parents and youth to the website to generate excitement for Godstock! The Board has been working tirelessly to get ready for Godstock—but we need YOU to make this event successful. This event will help YOU strengthen your youth ministry. YOU are the key ingredient for making Godstock a success. YOU will get the information to the correct people. YOU will inspire youth to attend when they see your enthusiasm. The gathering is November 10-12th at the Metropolis Resort in Eau Claire, WI. The cost of the gathering is $85/participant, including adults. • Send in your registration form with $40/person deposit. • This fee includes the following: t-shirt, Saturday lunch (breakfast comes with your room reserva tion), Chaos, Action City, & Trampoline park passes, band, speakers, and programming. • This fee does NOT include: hotel rooms, Saturday dinner. The registration deadline is October 27th. Housing is your responsibility. Please call the hotel and make your own reservations. You can find hotel information on our website. Our goal is to have 300 students this year! Please register as a group. Copy and keep medical release forms with you. One adult is required for every seven youth. We recommend the congregation covers the cost for the adult chaperones. Every group needs an adult. There will be a variety show Saturday night; plan something fun in advance or on-the-spot! We will take a monetary offering Sunday to benefit Without Barriers, Eau Claire Area School District’s homeless youth program. There will also be a physical offering collection of gloves, underwear, and socks, also benefiting Without Barriers. Included on the registration form this year will be requests for special needs seating. Please indicate there if your group needs to have a certain space in our main gathering spot because of a special circumstance.
God bless you in your planning for this fall. Godstock can be an important event in the faith journey of your youth. Please help them experience it. Your partner in Ministry, Carole DeJardin
