LIBRARY GUIDEPOST FASHION DESIGN AND TECHNOLOGY This guidepost provides suggestions for library research on fashion, the clothing trade, fashion design and designers, textiles, costumes and other related subjects Our Subject Guide for Fashion Design lists selected print sources as well as web sites that have been evaluated by librarians. To access the Subject guide for Fashion Design, go to our Library Web site at www.kwantlen.ca/library , click on Subject Guides and then click on Fashion Design. These Fashion web sites range from educational institutions, associations and societies, museums and collections, information, runway shows, to Statistics Canada. Click on Kwantlen’s LIBRARY CATALOGUE on our Library Web site to find information about books, magazines and audiovisual materials, such as videos/DVDs, that are available at any of the campus Libraries of Kwantlen University College. The Library uses SUBJECT HEADINGS to organize information by subject in the Library Catalogue. To locate materials on a subject as specifically as possible, use the concise Library of Congress subject headings assigned by the library. Type your topic in the search box, click on the drop down arrow, highlight subject and click on search. To find information about a famous designer, use the designer’s name as a subject heading. Type the name in the search box (surname first), click on the drop down arrow, highlight subject and click on search. For example: CHANEL COCO SAINT LAURENT YVES VERSACE
