Early Intervention Mission Our mission is to identify children, birth to 3 years of age, who have or are at risk to have developmental delay, and to provide the children and their families support, educational and therapeutic services. The primary goals are to facilitate optimal development of the child through individualized, family-centered services in the child’s natural environment, and to allow each child to reach his or her full potential.
Staff Our transdisciplinary team of developmental specialists includes educators, a physical therapist, a speech therapist, an occupational therapist, a licensed mental health counselor, a maternal child health nurse and a licensed clinical social worker.
Services Individualized services are provided in the child’s natural environment, including the child’s home, daycare, or at our Center. We offer a variety of developmental groups at several convenient sites throughout northern Berkshire County.
Cost Services are paid for by health insurance companies and HMO’s, MassHealth, and the Department of Public Health. There is an annual participation fee, based on income and family size for some families. Families covered by MassHealth as their primary or secondary insurance will not be charged this fee.

`` My child has special needs. Can you help us? Our professional staff can provide speech, occupational and physical therapy, and/or developmentally appropriate educational services, individually or in child-focused groups. We can help with developmental concerns, diagnosed or undiagnosed medical conditions, prematurity, social skills and behavioral issues.
`` I need parenting information and support. I’d also like the opportunity to meet with other parents. Can Early Intervention help me with this? Our transdisciplinary team offers community playgroups, that meet weekly in several north county towns. Playgroups are available to all children, regardless of eligibility. They provide an opportunity for young children to play with peers, and for parents to give and receive support from other parents, while participating in fun activities.
