Eastern Kentucky University provides Doctorate’s, Master’s, Bachelor’s, and Associate’s degrees. Work with 695 full-time and 451 part-time faculty in a university employing 1664 staff members, generating a fall annual headcount of 16,000 and FTE of 16,000 per semester. Supervise Directors of Admissions, Financial Aid, Marketing, and Student Outreach and Transitions (SOTO). Assist in management of an annual institutional budget of $310 million and an Enrollment Management budget of $24 million in scholarships and $4 million operating. Initiated an Enrollment Management Advisory Committee to improve the recruitment and retention of students. Implemented communications management system. Implemented learning outcomes development and data driven management and assessment. Created SOTO department to improve recruitment and retention of nontraditional students. Collaboratively increased recruitment of first time students by 6% in 2009, increased retention by 5% from previous year to 68.5%, and increased enrollment by 2% in fall 2010. Supervised directors leading the following areas: Academic Advising, Admissions, Data Management and Reporting, Financial Aid, Registration, New Student Relations, Grant Writing, Dual Enrollment/Tech Prep and Testing. Assisted in management of an annual institutional budget of over $120 million and an Enrollment Management budget of $3 million. Initiated an Enrollment Management Advisory Committee to improve the recruitment and retention of students. Created a process for developing and assessing Enrollment Management departmental and work group goals, objectives and action plans that are linked to the institutional Strategic Plan. Between 2002 and 2008, headcount increased 72% and credit hours increased 44%. Developed new markets for recruitment of international and domestic students. Developed web registration process and distance delivery of services. Wrote and administered grants to provide student mentoring services and summer bridge programs. Facilitated focus groups and surveys to solicit input from students and staff relative to improving services. Assisted in management of an annual institutional budget of $19 million and a Student Services budget of approximately $2.3 million. Worked with 131 full-time and 216 part-time faculty in a community college employing 790 staff members, generating an annual headcount of 23,072 and an FTE of 3,500 per quarter. Supervised directors who lead the following areas: Admissions and Records, Athletics, Counseling and Career Services, Financial Aid, International Programs, San Juan Center, Elderhostel, Security, Student Activities and Auxiliary Services, Women’s Programs, Displaced Homemaker Center, Learning Into Action, Multicultural Services, Veterans Programs, Student Support Services, Student Health Services, Campus Housing, Disabled Student Services, Student Workforce Training Programs, Running Start, Student Discipline/Grievances, Student Radio and Newspapers and the Associated Students of Skagit Valley College. Worked with 282 full-time and 574 part-time college faculty in a League for Innovation College that employed 1,679 staff, generated a 36,755 annual headcount and 9,339.3 annual FTE, and served 12% of the population in a geographical area of 5,000 square miles. Led directors who supervise the following departments: Admissions, Athletics, Counseling, Disability Services, Women's Programs, Financial Aid, Student Activities, Student Records, Student Publications, Student Support Services, Student Health Services, Substance Abuse Prevention, Childcare Resource Connection, Retired and Senior Volunteer Program, Senior Companion Program, TALN (Technology Access for Life Needs), and Specialized Employment Services. Handled student grievance and student discipline matters. Facilitated a college-wide processreengineering project. Increased student headcount 8.5% over four years. Initiated an Enrollment Management Team to focus on student retention and recruitment. Chaired a Transitions Team to manage the human side of change.
