In the early 1970s, I was employed at Loughborough University where, among other things, I was involved in research on phase coded pulse train signals, suitable for pulse compression systems. Part of this work was done with the help of Mr. C.N. Oligboh, who was employed at Loughborough University as a Research Assistant, working under my supervision. I was sorry to see that the August 1980 issue contained a paper A , under the above title, on the work done at Loughborough, which Mr. Oligboh had prepared and submitted under his name and mine, entirely without my knowledge and consent. Had I been asked, I would have been pleased to participate in the preparation of a paper. As it is, the published paper contains a number of errors. Even the affiliation is wrong; I left Loughborough University in 1973 and Mr. Oligboh left there soon after.
