Reservations and Revenue Manager The opportunity has arisen for the right candidate to join our team working as a Reservations and Revenue Manager, maximising sales and revenue through the effective management of daily room pricing, inventory management and proactive upselling of spa and secondary food and beverage spending. The successful individual will contribute to building a sales and revenue culture throughout the whole team. Essential Attributes:      

Ability to plan and prioritise tasks with minimal supervision React quickly under pressure Excellent administrative skills and good systems knowledge Ability to think quickly and adapt when necessary to find solutions to problems Communicates openly and clearly both verbally and in writing Acts on own initiative when appropriate

Primary Responsibilities:            

Drive room sales and incremental spend through commercial revenue focused targets Manage channel distribution tools to ensure the room rates and revenue are maximised Lever travel agency relationships to increase sales Accountable for room pricing, booking pace, historic analysis and forecasting Create a revenue action plan to increase REVPAR and Occupancy Plan manging rates and availability in advance to effectively yield room sales Communicate clearly with service suppliers and Edinburgh office revenue support to ensure systems are operating effectively Collation of rates for Short Break Operators to head office Assist in ADHOC technology project work as and when required Create and maintain effective reporting tools Collation and distribution of FIT rates to head office Assist with updating and regularly auditing all OTA content, images, amenities and language in line with the marketing department

The Ideal candidate: Someone who has a minimum of 2 years’ experience reporting directly to a revenue or reservations manager. This particular role would suit an individual looking for their first management position. The candidate will need to demonstrate a successful career in reservations and show excellent people skills as well as sales focus, commercial mindedness and proficiency in office management and administration. Previous experience in a high volume, high standard hotel is preferred, but what is most important is a desire to develop and motivate themselves and their peers to achieve set targets, whilst maintaining focus on individual goals.
