The Model LS-800 is a fourteen-element, planar log-periodic dipole antenna that is designed to cover the complete 800 – 1000 MHz frequency band for the high performance applications requiring high gain and a stable radio link. The frequencyindependent nature of the log-periodic antenna ensures that the gain and the radiation patterns will remain constant across the frequency band of operation. The antenna provides the gain of +11 db above a half-wave dipole with low VSWR and high frontto-back ratio across the entire frequency band without tuning or adjustments. These features, coupled with rugged, lightweight, and low-cost construction, make the LS-800 unmatched in performance and reliability.

LS-800
The Model LS-800 antenna has been specifically designed to provide many years of maintenance-free operation for base station to repeater station and other point-to-point applications that require stable directional coverage. The antenna can provide either vertical or horizontal polarization depending upon the mounting orientation. For the applications requiring additional gain or broad horizontal coverage, the antenna can be arrayed in 2-bay and 4-bay configurations. Also, bidirectional radiation patterns can be obtained by mounting 2-bay or 4-bay antennas on either side of a single tower. The Model LS-800 antenna can be ordered in kit form (LS-800K) which contains 60 feet of RG-213/U coaxial cable attached to the antenna, a two-foot high mast (LS-102) to facilitate roof-top installation, a type N male coaxial connector, and all necessary installation hardware. Other types of coaxial cable for the kit can be purchased upon request.
