Answer ALL questions in this paper. Write your answers in the spaces provided in this Question-Answer Book. Do not write in the margins. Answers written in the margins will not be marked.

Graph paper and supplementary answer sheets will be supplied on request. Write your Candidate Number, mark the question number box and stick a barcode label on each sheet, and fasten them with string INSIDE this Book.
4. Unless otherwise specified, all working must be clearly shown. 5. Unless otherwise specified, numerical answers should be either exact or given to 4 decimal places. 6.
For definite integrals, answers obtained by using numerical integration functions in calculators are not accepted.

The candidate demonstrates sound knowledge and understanding of the concepts underpinning calculus and statistics in the curriculum by applying them successfully to unfamiliar situations, such as in Questions 3(c), 8(a), 8(b), 10(b)(i), 11(c), 13(a) and 13(b). He/She communicates and expresses views and arguments accurately using mathematical language, notations, tables, diagrams and graphs.
Typical examples are his/her solutions in
Questions 2, 3, 5, 6 and 8. He/She formulates mathematical models successfully in unfamiliar situations, employs appropriate strategies to arrive at a solution, and explains the significance and reasonableness of results obtained, as in Questions 3(c), 8(a), 8(b), 10(b)(i), 11(c), 13(a) and 13(b). It can be concluded that the candidate has the ability to integrate knowledge and skills from different areas of the curriculum in handling a range of tasks.
