POPULAR GRAND VALLEY COOKING SHOW GETS MAKEOVER! Mealtime in Mesa County (formerly Suppertime Solutions) not only has a new name and logo but viewers can also expect a wider variety of recipes to enjoy.
Mesa County, CO--- After a several months of re-runs while the show was in transition, Mealtime in Mesa County (formerly Suppertime Solutions) is stirring up new excitement on Mesa County Cable Channel 12 with brand new episodes starting in July! Those familiar with the show know the value of learning how to cook low-cost, fast options for dinner that are healthy and taste great. “This show is designed to teach families how to prepare low-cost, healthy meals for their family”, explained Karen Martsolf, Public Information Officer with the Mesa County Department of Human Services and one of the hosts of Mealtime in Mesa County. “In this economic downturn our community is facing, we feel the timing to expand the scope of the show couldn’t be better”, added Martsolf. Two episodes of Mealtime in Mesa County will be filmed each month and air every three hours on Mesa County Cable Channel 12. One episode each month will be hosted by Tawny Espinoza with the Mesa County Health Department. Each show will feature five recipes which can all be prepared within a ½ hour and all for $15 or less. The recipes are designed to feed a family of four but can be altered depending on the needs of each family. From families with young children to senior citizens on fixed incomes—and everyone in between who are busy—the options this show provides offers people new and innovative ideas for feeding their family, friends, dinner guests and more! “We are looking forward to expanding the scope of the show to include breakfast and lunch options as well as lowcost ideas for how to host a dinner party”, said Martsolf. This show is made possible thanks to the generous sponsorship commitment of Medical Nutrition Therapy & Diabetes Education ~ a division of Primary Care Partners.
