MICROSOFT .NET TECHNOLOGIES C E R T I F I C AT E P R O G R A M • O N L I N E With Visual Studio, Microsoft’s .NET platform has matured into a robust and versatile development environment for both Windows-based and Web-based application development. With its emphasis on XML technology and Web services, .NET allows businesses of all sizes to take advantage of the Internet for distributed computational power. W HO S H O U L D E N R O L L This program is designed for individuals who have previous programming experience with a Microsoft language such as C# Visual Basic or Visual C++, but are new to the .NET environment, or who have experience with a non-Microsoft language such as C++ or Java. If you have no previous programming experience, you may begin the program by taking I&C SCI X471.1 Introduction to Computer Programming Using C++.

C E RT I F I C AT E E L I G I B I L I T Y A N D REQUIREMENTS tudents must complete a minimum of 15 units of courseS work with a grade of “C” or higher in each course in order to be eligible for the certificate. A maximum of 2 required courses may be applied toward meeting this requirement. All requirements must be completed within 5 years after the student enrolls in his/her first course. Students not pursuing a certificate are welcome to take as many individual courses as they wish. Students may apply UCI Division of Continuing Education Microsoft SQL database courses not listed here upon approval by the program manager. Please call (949) 824-3413 for information.
