Research Activities for Analyzing Realtime Data in Social Media • Many research activities was conducted in Indonesia to create a prototipe system to analyze data in social media (tweeter and facebook) • No permanent system yet that

Data Management in Central Bank of Indonesia • One good practice in Indonesia in Managing Data is Central Bank of Indonesia (Bank Indonesia) • Bank Indonesia have a dedicated unit for Data/Information Management. Its differ from IT unit, but in organization, this dedicated unit place under IT unit.
Biro Pusat Statistik Indonesia (Indonesia Statistical Berau) • BPS (Biro Pusat Statistik) Indonesia has initiate to build “Data/Information Governance” Policy to support Data/Information Management activities in their organization • The policy refer to DM-BOK (Data Management Body of Knowledge) from Data Management Association
Closing Remarks • Innovation of BIG DATA analysis and OPEN DATA initiative should be supported by Data/Information Management • Data/Information Management activities should be conducted by dedicated unit in organization and have strong relation to (1) business and (2) IT • Data/Information Management practices should be supported by Data/Information Governance Policy
