Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) Effective June 15, 2017, Holistic Hound is establishing a Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy on all Holistic Hound products. This policy applies to all U.S. retailers. This MAP policy is designed to protect reseller profit margins and support the Holistic Hound brand as a premium offering. See attached Price List for Minimum Advertised Price (MAP). MAP policy shall work under the following guidelines:
Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) is established by Holistic Hound and may be adjusted by Holistic Hound at its sole discretion. MAP policy applies to all advertisements of Holistic Hound products in any and all media, including, but not limited to flyers, posters, coupons, mailers, inserts, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, mail order catalogs, email newsletters, email solicitations, internet or similar electronic media, television, radio and public signage. MAP policy is not applicable to any in-store advertising that is displayed only in the store and not distributed to any customer(s). The inclusion in advertising of free or discounted products with a product covered by the MAP policy would be contrary to the policy if it has the effect of discounting the advertised price of the covered product below the MAP. MAP does not establish maximum advertised prices. All distributors may offer Holistic Hound products at any price in excess of the MAP. Holistic Hound’s MAP policy does not in any way limit the ability of any retailer to advertise that “they have the lowest prices” or, they “will meet or beat any competitors price,” that consumers should “call for a price” or phrases of similar nature as long as the price advertised or listed for the products is not less than MAP.
