Day 1: • Introduction to Unity Pro, Environment, Installation policy, Project Settings • PLC Configuration: Quantum, Premium, M340 Hardware Platforms • Variables / Data Types • IEC Programming Language: LD • Animation Tables Day 2: • Application Testing • IEC Programming Language: FBD • Application Structure • Derived Function Blocks • IEC Programming Language: ST • Derived Data Types Day 3: • Advanced blocks • Communications (including IO Scanning, Ethernet Read / Write) • IEC Programming Language: SFC • System Integration with RIO, SCADA, HMI • Custom requests (if any).
Course Requirements: No PLC hardware is required as all worked examples can be executed on the PLC simulator (included as part of the Unity Pro software). Please note that the Unity Pro software is licensed software. It can be run on a PC in ‘demo mode’ (unlimited functionality) for 21 days, after which it must be licensed in order to operate. We would normally expect participants on this course to supply their own PC with Unity Pro software pre-installed.
