MORE THAN CONQUERORS INTRODUCTION: The Bible states that as Christians we are more than Conquerors in all things through Him that Loves us, and that we can never be separated from the Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. To be more than Conquerors means that we have overcome and have already gained the Victory! Rom 8:35 35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? Rom 8:37-39 37 Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. 38 For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, 39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. COMMENTARY: The following Scriptures confirm that as Christians, none of the following things can separate us from the Love of God, which is in our Lord Jesus Christ. TRIBULATION: As Christians, we will go through some Tribulation (not the Tribulation Period), but Tribulation will not separate us from the Love of God. This is because God is the God of all comfort and He will comfort us in all of our Tribulation! We should also Glory in all of our Tribulation, because Tribulation fully works our patience. 2 Cor 1:3-4 3 Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; 4 Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God. Rom 5:3 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; DISTRESS: Distress will not separate us from the Love of God because when we cry out to the Lord He will hear us and deliver us! (Ps 18:16-21) Ps 18:6 6 In my distress I called upon the LORD, and cried unto my God: he heard my voice out of his temple, and my cry came before him, even into his ears. Ps 120:1 1 In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me. PERSECUTION: Those that live Godly in Christ Jesus will suffer Persecution; however, we can endure Persecutions because as Christians we know that the Lord will deliver us out of them all! 2 Tim 3:11-12 11 Persecutions, afflictions, which came unto me at Antioch, at Iconium, at Lystra; what persecutions I endured: but out of them all the Lord delivered me. 12 Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution. FAMINE: If we go through Famine, it too will not separate us from God’s Love because we have hope in His mercy. We know He will satisfy us and will keep us alive during Famine! Ps 33:18-19 18 Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy; 19 To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine. Ps 37:18-19 18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be forever. 19 They shall not be ashamed (be put to shame) in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied (filled). NAKEDNESS: Nakedness will never separate us from God's Love, because the Lord has clothed us with the Garments of Salvation and covered us with His White Robes of Righteousness! Isa 61:10 10 I will greatly rejoice in the LORD, my soul shall be joyful in my God; for he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decketh himself with ornaments, and as a bride adorneth herself with her jewels. Rev 3:18 18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. Rev 3:5 5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
PERIL: Perils will not separate us from the Love of God for as Paul states, he was often in Perils, but he survived them all! 2 Cor 11:26 26 In journeyings often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils by mine own countrymen, in perils by the heathen, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, in perils among false brethren; SWORD: The Sword will not separate us because through Faith we will escape the edge of the Sword! Our own Sword will not save us but the Lord will save us from our enemies! Heb 11:32-34 32 And what shall I more say? for the time would fail me to tell of Gedeon, and of Barak, and of Samson, and of Jephthae; of David also, and Samuel, and of the prophets: 33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions, 34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens. Ps 44:6-7 6 For I will not trust in my bow, neither shall my sword save me. 7 But thou hast saved us from our enemies, and hast put them to shame that hated us. COMMENTARY: Neither shall the following things separate us from the Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus. DEATH: Death will not separate us from the Love of God because though we may die, yet shall we live! John 11:25-26 25 Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection, and the life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live: 26 And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. LIFE: Life will not separate us because Christ lives in us and we now live by His Faith! Gal 2:20 20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me. ANGELS: The true Angels of God will not separate us from God’s Love because they listen to the voice of God and obey Him. If another Angel comes and preaches another Gospel, and tries to separate you from God's Love, do not listen to him. (2 Cor 11:14) In order to tell the difference, it is important to have the Gift of 'Discerning of Spirits'! (1 Cor 12:7, 10) Ps 103:20 20 Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Heb 1:14 14 Are they not all ministering spirits, sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation? Gal 1:8 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. PRINCIPALITIES & POWERS: Principalities & Powers will not separate us from God’s Love. Although we may wrestle against them in Spiritual places, we have already won! Eph 6:12 12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Col 2:15 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he (Jesus) made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it (by the Cross). THINGS PRESENT &THINGS TO COME: Things Present and Things to Come will not separate us from the Love of God because all Things Present and Things to Come are ours! 1 Cor 3:21-23 21 Therefore let no man glory in men. For all things are yours; 22 Whether Paul, or Apollos, or Cephas, or the world, or life, or death, or things present, or things to come; all are yours; 23 And ye are Christ's; and Christ is God's.
HEIGHT & DEPTH: Height and Depth will not separate us from God’s Love because we are able to comprehend what are the Highest and the Deepest mysteries of God's Love! Eph 3:17-19 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. NO OTHER CREATURE: No other Creature (or Creation) will ever separate us from the Love of God, even if they arrive in a Flying Saucer. If they do arrive, God will not be surprised, because every Creature has already been manifested (or appeared) in His sight, and we should therefore go and Preach the Gospel to them! Heb 4:13 13 Neither is there any creature (or creation) that is not manifested (or appeared) in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do (to give account). Mark 16:15 15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world (kosmos), and preach the gospel to every creature. CONCLUSION: Remember there is nothing that will separate us from the Love of God and in all things we are more than Conquerors through Christ Jesus our Lord. We therefore take pleasure in all these things for Christ's sake, for when we are weak, then we are strong! 2 Cor 12:10 10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.
