This MSc International Innovation offers

On completion of the programme, students will be able to use their practical, language and cultural proficiency as a launch pad for their future careers: establishing a global venture, joining an international organisation, government institution, or pursuing further academic studies.

Drawing from internationally recognised faculties from across Lancaster University, this unique MSc offers ambitious UK/EU and overseas students the opportunity to work on high impact collaborative projects with companies both in the UK and China. Over 24 months, students on this fulltime MSc will cover a range of general and specialist subjects chosen from six distinct pathways (see below). These will be supplemented by language, cultural and business seminars, resulting in a rich and distinctive learning experience.

Inter-disciplinary Study  tudents will focus on one academic S pathway, supplemented by modules from the other disciplines. A core feature of this MSc is interdisciplinary collaboration via cross Faculty engagement, peers, colleagues and working together on company projects.

Background

Students must choose from one pathway depending on their background:

Company Projects in the UK & Guangdong Province, China Students will work on two company projects, in the UK and in Guangdong Province, China, where students will spend 6-8 months. With supervision, students will build upon their academic expertise to deliver collaborative R&D and commercialisation projects. Cultural Immersion Business, cultural and language seminars support students throughout their MSc. Living Allowance/Stipend 38 students selected onto this unique programme will receive an award of £16,000 over the duration of the programme from the Lancaster China Catalyst Programme, which is funded by the HEFCE Catalyst Fund and Lancaster County Council. Tuition fees still apply. Once the 38 bursaries have been taken, students may still apply for the course but successful applicants are likely to need to secure alternative funding.
