Purpose of the placement On a day to day basis, you will work as part of a project team analyzing business processes and requirements and assisting the team in recommending and implementing cutting edge IT solutions to those requirements. You will assist in many aspects of the project from testing to applying different technologies to support a wide range of business requirements across the Finance, Supply, and Demand/Marketing areas. Your work as part of a team alongside our experienced analysts will give you the opportunity to learn from a highly skilled and professional team. Colgate’s interns are each assigned an experienced mentor who supports them and ensures that personal objectives are achieved throughout their placement. Successful applicants will benefit from a comprehensive induction program which covers an introduction to Colgate and its operations. Training will also be given in a wide range of areas including SAP, Microsoft Office, IBM Lotus Notes, Project Management and other relevant skills. Duties and placement responsibilities: 

You will work as part of our European Business Analyst team, which provides an opportunity to marry your IT skills with business realities, or vice versa. This will enable you to broaden your business skills to include the latest cutting edge IT solutions.  The type of work includes detailed business analysis and testing your ability to think about how different technologies can help business functions.  You will work as part of a team, alongside our experienced analysts, giving you the opportunity to learn from a highly skilled and professional team. This role provides great opportunities to develop skills in new business technologies. The role may be of particular interest to candidates who are currently studying with the view to a career in Business, IT or Computer Applications. Special aptitudes required for this placement:  Strong analytical abilities  Ability to write documentation for IT best practices  Excellent communication skills  Team working and collaboration locally and with members of the broader GIT team.  Good organisation and planning skills.
