Multiple Face Detection and Tracking (Using Viola-Jones method) The objective of this research was to detect and track multiple faces. We used an algorithm proposed by Paul Viola and Michael Jones in order to detect the faces and Kanade-LucasTomasi (KLT) approach for tracking the detected faces. We took several videos of both single and multiple persons and while working on those videos we wanted to find out the coordinates of the detected faces in each frame. At the same time the efficiency of this algorithm to detect faces from a side view was also tested. Few observations are shown in this report.

Finally a video of two persons was taken. Initially there is only one person in the video and after a while the second one enters. Both the persons move their faces in different directions to give front and side view and each time faces were detected and tracked.
