Scotland Scotland is part of the United Kingdom and makes up the northern part of the island of Great Britain. Most of the country’s people live in the fertile area of central Scotland. The Highland area of Scotland has fewer people but amazing mountains, valleys, and lakes that are beyond beautiful. Scotland’s history involves the Angles, Britons, Gaels, Picts, Vikings, Romans, and many others. It became part of the United Kingdom in 1707 through the Act of Union. It’s the birthplace of inventors such as Charles Macintosh and James Watt, authors including Robert Burns and Arthur Conan Doyle, scientists such as Sir Alexander Fleming and James Young, and many others.

I hope you’ve enjoyed visiting four of the many cities in Scotland! Before you leave to go home, could I ask you to do something special for the people here? Scotland is home to many native peoples as well as people who have moved here from all over the world. Though many people in Scotland believe in Jesus, there are still many others who do not understand how much Jesus loves them. Will you remember to pray for the people of Scotland? Here are a few things you can pray for. You can add more prayer requests to the list as you think of them!

Pray that all the people will know how much Jesus loves them, no matter who they are or what they have done. Pray for the people living in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, Edinburgh, and every city and town to believe in Jesus.
