It gives you a chance to show your ideas and expertise to those readers, and if they like what you have to offer, they will for sure click on the byline link. Secondly, guest blogging is great for SEO too because you will be getting a link from an authority site on your niche. o How? Attack and ask….  Write a Headline Attention Grabbing Blog Post. “How Your Iphone May KILL You!” “Ten Social Media Strategies That If Ignored Will Ensure Your Business Failure” o Submit post URL to all social media Sites. (more on account creation etc. later) Use SocialAdr.com or onlywire.com o Send an email to your friends asking them to cast a vote at Reddit, Stumpleupon, Digg, and Twitter. CREATE A “BUZZ” BUDDIES LIST. o Email some 20 or 30 bloggers that have “like” blogs to let them know about my post. I wouldn't beg for a link or propose a link exchange, because that is lame. I would just mention the post, and say that they might like it.

 You can also make audio copies of your posts (using the free “Audacity” voice recording tool from SourceForge.net) and then use that as a PodCast. There’s a free plugin called PodPress that makes this a simple matter of uploading the audio file and giving it a description, and the plugin will then submit it to a couple of podcasting directories.

 Create a tutorial video demonstrating how to solve a problem, or answering a popular question. Alternatively you can simply use some relevant images from a copyright free site as the background for the video and just use your original content as the audio for the video. Many of these video sites are considered as “authority” sites will rank well in the search engines, bringing you traffic from Google, Yahoo and MSN, as well as from the video sites themselves. Make sure you choose good, relevant keywords to use for the “Tags” when you submit the videos, as these will be used, as well as the video title, in the search engines. o You should also include the url for your site and a “call to action” (e.g.visit http://yourdomain.com to see more videos about “your topic”) in the description for the video as well. You should also make reference to your site in the video, I usually start and end my videos on a page of the site itself, so people viewing the video are going to know exactly where they can 4

Your Basic On Page SEO Diet! The Easy To Do, Easy Not To Do Diet That Works Everytime! 1. Verify Your Site With the Big 3 Search Engines If you want to understand how search engines interact with your site and find potential issues before they impact your traffic, you really need to verify your site and sitemaps with the big 3 search engines (Google, Yahoo, and Bing) and monitor your stats regularly. Start by registering your site with Google Webmaster Tools. This is easy. Simply create an account and verify your site by uploading a small piece of code to your server for Google to find. Then create a XML sitemap of all your site pages and upload it via your Webmaster Tools account. The amount of information this gives you about how search engines interact with your site is truly mind-blowing. Once you’ve gone through this process, you’ll be able to check: – how many pages Google has indexed and how often – what errors Googlebot found while indexing – what keywords your pages are being found for – how many incoming links each page has from external sources – how many internal links each page has from other pages on your site – how well your site is optimized for target keywords – how fast your site loads – how many broken links are on your site, where they point to and on what pages, etc. It’s a similar registration / reveal process with Yahoo Site Explorer and Bing Webmaster Tools.

Integrate Your Keywords into Your Pages and Post Contrary to popular belief, sticking your keywords into your meta tags is NOT sufficient for Google to find your site a relevant match for related search queries. For a search engine to find a site relevant, it MUST find the keyword within the visible text on your pages and in link text pointing to your site. Take your final streamlined keyword list and allocate your chosen keywords to the various pages of your site. This is a pretty straightforward exercise. Usually the content of each page will tell you what keywords will be the easiest and most logical to integrate into the body text and other content. Now, rewrite your content to incorporate your keywords naturally into your pages. Try not to repeat a keyword phrase more than 3 or 4 times in a single page. Re-write your page titles and META tags, alt tags and headings to include your new keywords. When you create new pages, make sure you include logical keywords in your file names e.g. instead of www.mywidgetsite.com/page36%$2.html try www.mywidgetsite.com/shiny-widgets.html. USE ALL – IN – ONE SEO if using wordpress.

3. Create Tailored Title and Meta Tags How many sites have you been to where every page has the same META tags? That’s a lost search opportunity. Every page on your site should have a different Title and META Description tag, tailored to the content of each page. Take your new keywords and create optimized titles and tags for each page you want the search engines to index. This indicates to search engines AND visitors what each specific page is about. 4. Install and Utilize Google Analytics Have you installed Google Analytics on your site? If not, then do it today. Google Analytics is a free site statistics package that provides insights into your web site traffic and marketing effectiveness. You may already have access to a site metrics package courtesy of your hosting company or web designer, but I guarantee you that it won’t be as powerful or easy to use as Google Analytics. The program lets you see and analyze your traffic data in new ways and you can learn how your visitors interact with your web site over a specified time period. With benchmarking tools, you can find out whether your site metrics under-perform or outperform those in your industry and more accurately measure your web site’s Return on Investment (ROI). Google Analytics synchronizes directly with Google AdWords and other PPC services too, so you can set conversion goals and track visitor pathways from the entry page right through to the purchase receipt. Google Analytics features a wide range of graphical report options, enabling you to prepare web site performance reports for stakeholders right across your organization. 7

5. Add Fresh Content – UPDATE OFTEN! MORE IS BETTER! What keeps a search engine coming back to your site? Fresh content. By adding new pages and information to your web site on a regular basis, you’re sending a signal to both search engines and visitors that you have lots to offer and they should come back regularly. The more content you have, the more entry points you are providing to visitors as a way of finding you in the search engines. Think of your site as a reverse pyramid, where your additional content pages are providing more and more doorways to your site at the top level.

6. Re – Do Your Internal Link Structure A lot of webmasters spend too much time looking at external links pointing to their sites and forget about their internal link structure. The way you link between your own site pages can have a huge impact on the search rank of those pages. This is because Google and other search engines are influenced by the keywords that are used in the links themselves. This *anchor text* tells search engines what the page is about. For example, if you are linking to your page about *Anthony Robbins* from your home page, instead of having the link read “Click Here,” change it to “Read more about The Anthony Robbins Report Click Here,” with the entire snippet of text used as the link text. This signals to search engines that the page you are linking to is about *Anthony Robbins* and they are more likely to show that page as a relevant match to search queries for *Anthony Robbins* in their search results. Try to integrate this link policy across your entire site, with all your pages being cross-linked via appropriate keyword-rich link text. You’d be surprised what a difference this small change can make to the visibility of your pages!

The Master Plan Cheat Sheet Time Commitment: 2 Hours Per Day & 5 – 7 Days 1. Search on Google and visit Technorati.com, MyBlogLog.com and BlogCatalog.com to find out what the most popular blogs in my chosen marketplace are. 2. Visit those blogs and look at what the hottest up to date topics are, making notes to build a list of the top 10+ topics that people in the niche are interested in. I’m specifically looking for problems that people are seeking answers to. I would also pay attention to (and make notes on) what keywords are being used for the articles, posts and blogs, to target the same keywords. 3. Find the answers to those 10 questions/problems. This can be done by simply searching on authority sites and article directories to see what solutions other people have provided for those problems. 4. Use those questions/answers as content for a series of blog posts and create a “FAQ” page listing all of the posts for people to view them easily. N.B. make sure the blogs RSS feed has been submitted to 20+ RSS aggregator sites first (see previous list) 5. Set up accounts with some social bookmarking sites and submit each of the posts to a couple of the sites. (use onlywire.com) N.B. also add the “Sociable” or “Share This” plugin to the blog to make easy for visitors to “vote” for the posts. 6. Re-write the posts in a “article” style and submit one to an article directory or authority site (my favorites listed below) with a backlink to the blog and the blog post in both the article itself and in the “Resource/Author box” at the bottom of the article. Use the same posts (with some suitable copyright free images) to create videos (grab the 30 day trial version of Camtasia from TechSmith.com) and submit those videos to video submission sites (listed previously) 8. Use the videos for more blog posts and add a “Videos” page listing them all. 9. Use the content from the blog posts (with some extra resource/affiliate links and screen shots where possible) to create a pdf report to give away for free. You can use the free office suite from http://openoffice.org to write and create pdf reports with live html links in them. 10. Set up an option page with an auto responder option form offering the free report in return for people signing up to your newsletter. 11. Search for the same questions on popular blogs and post quality comments to start building a reputation in the market and get some recognition from other blog owners. 12. Get in touch with the same blog owners and offer them a copy of the free report to give to their readers/subscribers, offer to do the same in return for them. If the “adswap” goes well propose you both put a permanent follow up email in your autoresponders, so that you both benefit in the long term. 13. Add the report to free ebook directories. There are many sites that offer free directories of ebooks for people to download, simply do a search for “ebook directory” and similar terms to find them and then submit your free report. As with the video submissions, make sure you include the url for your site and a “call to action” to get people to visit for more information, and obviously you should also include this at the start and end of your free report as well. 14. Set up a series of emails in your autoresponder sending subscribers back to the blog for each of the question/answer posts. One of the earliest emails should be explaining how social bookmarking works and asking the reader to help share the post if they find it useful by “voting” for it on one of the sites.

STEP 1: WRITE AND SPIN ARTICLES Write 1-3 articles of around 400 words each. These articles are mainly link-fodder, so you don’t need to go out of your way to optimize them for a particular keyword. Just include your target keyword as well as one or two related keywords in each article. Save the articles in Notepad or some similar application you can store simple text-notes in. Next, write 3 different resource boxes, that you’ll use when submitting to article directories. The resource box should simply contain a link to your site, a benefit or two (=reason to click) and a call to action. Example of a resource box including those elements: “Visit my site to learn a simple technique that will ______________________ _______________ _________________. Click here now to and get your free _________________ report.” Just create a few different variations of your resource box and save those, as well. Don’t forget to code the links and any text-styling in HTML, just like in the example above. Next, open one of the articles and re-save it with a new file-name (e.g. if the original is called text.txt, open it, select “Save as…” and save it as textSPUN.txt). Now, we’re going to spin the article. **Crewriter.com – another FREE resource**

Submit the original version of each article to Ezinearticles. Add one of the resource boxes. EZinearticles can take a while to approve your article. Once you’ve submitted enough quality articles, you’ll be promoted to expert status and from then on, your articles will be published quite swiftly. As soon as your article gets approved, be sure to bookmark it using IMAutomator and perhaps add it to your SocialAdr bookmarks (depending on how many you’ve already gotten queued up). 21

STEP 3: NEXT GET ARTICLE SUBMISSION HELPER – articlesubmissionhelper.com **My List of Article Directories to put in Submission Helper will be at members area** 1. Download and install Article Submission Helper 2. Go to the installation folder and create a new folder within it, called “Backup”. 3. Find the “directories.xml” file and move it into the “Backup” folder (just drag and drop). 4. Go to the member’s area for Members Area and download my custom “directories.xml” file. 5. Copy it into the Article Submission Helper Folder. Done. You’ve now loaded the custom directory file into ASH and are ready to rock. Load up ASH and use it to create your accounts for all of the directories in the list. Once that’s done, go to your inbox and confirm the e-mails, where necessary. Now, you can load the spun version of your article into ASH. You can also enter all of your resource box variations, separating them with spin tags (open with {, separate with | and close with }). I recommend submitting in semi-automatic mode, as sometimes ASH doesn’t pick categories properly. Goarticles posts your submitted article instantly, so you can go and manually log into your Goarticles account, find the latest article and bookmark it using IMAutomator. STEP 4: BLOG NETWORKS Now come the slow, but MASSIVE VALUE SITES. We’re going to submit articles to blog networks. This means that each article, including our backlinks, will get published on blogs all across the Internet. Since the links are inside the body content of the article and feature our targeted keyword, this is one of the most powerful backlinking methods available. Granted, the blogs where your articles get published tend to be low quality, but still: These links are nothing to frown at.

There are two free blog networks we can use: Free Traffic System and ArticleRanks. The catch? Free Traffic System has a terrible user interface and tons of promotions inside and ArticleRanks is based on credits. I.e. you need to accept articles in order to be able to publish articles. Despite this, both systems are well worth using. First, sign up for ArticleRanks. During sign-up, enter the following coupon code to receive 5 submission credits: 6140549c6d6ad47e914f02f16ef41aea Once inside, go to the “Sites” tab and select “Add Site”.

ArticleRanks only gives you credit for blogs on unique IP addresses. In other words, adding two blogs that are hosted on the same server won’t benefit you. The best solution is to add one blog and set a high receive limit (amount of articles you are willing to accept every day) and have them auto-approve. Basically, take some site you’ve been neglecting or some unused domain, set up a blog and create a high-volume ArticleRanks autoblog.

Next, you can begin submitting your own articles. The system is pretty straight-forward and since you’ve already spun the article, you don’t need to use the ArticleRanks spinning system (which is a bit clumsy, in my opinion). The only thing you need to adjust is the spinning syntax, since that of ArticleRanks is different from that of CRewriter OR spinningwizard. To get the correct spinning syntax, open your spun article in Notepad (or another wordprocessor) and replace all | symbols with ~symbols: Go to “Edit” and select “Replace”: REPLACE ALL… Now you can copy-paste the article into the ArticleRanks editor. Make sure to save the article as a draft and preview it, to check for any mistakes in the spin-code, before you submit it to be published. Publishing the article will cost you 2 credits. How often you can publish articles to the AR system will depend on how many articles you accept to your blog. Free Traffic System lets you post as many articles as you want, but each article will be distributed to no more than 30 blogs in the system (on ArticleRanks you can get hundreds of submissions for each article, in time). FTS also uses its own spin syntax, so we need to edit the spun article once again. First, make sure that the ~ are replaced with | again, either by reversing the last step in the editor or by reloading the previously saved article. Now, you need to replace the open brackets { with [spin] and the closing brackets } with [/spin]. Replacing the opening brackets: Once that’s done, you can copy-paste your article into Free Traffic System, go through their submission process and then move on (refer to the videos for a demonstration of the entire process).
