Jana-gana-mana-adhinayak-jaya he, Bharat-bhagya-vidhata. Punjab-sindhu-gujarat-maratha, Dravid-utkal-vanga; Vindhya-himachal-yamuna-ganga, Uchhala-jaladhi-taranga; Tava shubha name jage Tava shubha ashish mage Gaye tava jaya gatha; Jana-gana-mangal-dayak jaya he; Bharat bhagya vidhata; Jaya he,jaya he,jaya he! Jaya,jaya,jaya,jaya,he! Jana gana mana ,was first sung on 27th December 1911 on the second day of Congress session. The song was first published under the title “Bharat vidhata”. The poet himself (Rabindrnath Tagore) has translated the song into English under the title ,”the morning song of India” Subhash Chandra bose’s Azad Hind Government, rendered the song into Hindustani and adopted the same, as its national anthem. On 24 th January 1950, it was adopted by the Constituent Assembly as the national anthem.
