NATIONAL PILATES TRAINING: NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2012 Welcome
Hi everyone, As the year is quickly drawing to a close, we have some exciting changes planned for National Pilates Training in 2013 and thought we would share those with you. I am excited to announce the development of our newly created “Integrated Fundamentals of Anatomy” course (pre-requisite course for the Certificate IV in Pilates Matwork Instruction (91492NSW) and the Diploma of Professional Pilates Instruction (91491NSW) // PDP/CEC option). Read below for full details. Under the leadership of Sally Anderson, our accredited courses continue to strive for quality and integrity in the delivery of the Pilates method. Delivery schedules are now available for our 2013 intakes. Thank you to those of you that participated in our 2012 Continuing Education Schedule. I’m sure you will all agree that there were many opportunities to increase learning and further develop skills for application to the Pilates method. Our 2013 Continuing Education Schedule once again has brought together expertise and experience with an increased focus on matwork. There are several mat master classes with experienced presenters scheduled for 2013 providing opportunities for Pilates instructors to gain PDP/CEC’s and also to further develop skills in this environment. Regards, Katrina Edwards.
New: “Integrated Fundamentals of Anatomy” Welcome to our new faculty member for National Pilates Training, Danny Williams (BSc (Hons), MSc). NPT is excited to introduce Danny, an osteopath with over 15 years experience in teaching, both in the UK and now here in Melbourne at his own clinic, South Yarra Osteopathy. Danny has also lectured for the British School of Osteopathy and has examined for the London School of Osteopathy. Danny is joining the faculty of NPT as presenter of the newly developed “Integrated Fundamentals of Anatomy” course. This comprehensive anatomy course is designed for:
students embarking on studying the Pilates method to become a Pilates instructor; and working Pilates instructors looking to further their understanding of applied anatomy to improve their skills and enhance client progression. Danny is an engaging presenter promising to inspire new students beginning a career in the Pilates industry and also to further educate the professional Pilates instructor. The “Integrated Fundamentals of Anatomy” course is approved for PDP/CECs. The qualified Pilates instructor can attend the whole course or simply attend session by session. For further information on this course, call Katrina Edwards on 0414 645 455 or visit our website.
