Greetings of Peace! The Teachers' n.; ll' ' .. J Coalition (TOC) will be holding the second part of the National SeminarWorkshf'p on tau: Magna Carta for Public School Teachers, Public Sector Unionism and Human Ligh:;s Education: A Teach.ev-s' Camp on June 24-26, 2017 at Manaoag National High School, Division of Fangasinan II. With the theme "Teachers' Rights and Responsibilities for Child-Friendlv Schools" the semiun ~ims to deepen the Widerstanding of teachers and school administrato~ on their rights anf1 res!).Jnsibilities and their role in promoting human rights. This particular eve.~.'t is in· .cted for those who failed to participate the seminar held in Aringay, La Union last May ~~.;·,: and en~.orsed by the Central Office thru DepEd Memorandum 93, s. 2017 signed by the Secretary Leom~r Brion.::s herself. The specific objectives of the seminar i.l:., . I. To equip the teacher-/eadti!rs and school heads with knowledge on Magna Carta for Public School Teacher~ ar.d the public sector unionism 2. To formulate pDiicry recommendotions on teachers' organizations 3. To facilitate the formation of teachers ' organizations in the grassroots 4. To support th'! Department's mandate to teach human rights and popularize the rights-based approar:h in t:!ach ~ng Teacher-leaders, school heads and other school personnel are invited to attend this activity. A minimal contribution of Pl, 500.00 shall be charged to each participant to cover cost of food, accommodation, kit, and other incid:;ntal expenses. Since the event is themed on a camp, classrooms will be u.c;ed &G billeting a.reas, participants are advised to bring additional personal needs (malong, pillows etc).
