As the Tier 4a engine regulations go into effect, your customers will have lots of questions about this new technology. New Holland has multiple resources to answer their questions about the advanced SCR technology developed in partnership with Fiat Powertrain Technologies, and the easy-to-use DEF/Ad Blue additive.

New Holland’s SCR Tier 4 solution will significantly improve the performance of high-hp tractors. To highlight the improved performance, the new model number will include the higher-rated EPM horsepower. This will allow operators to immediately identify the tractor’s maximum horsepower potential displayed on the hood.

Thanks to the cutting-edge SCR system, engines benefit from significantly better fuel economy and more power and torque. One of the principal benefits of SCR technology is that it does not place any additional demands on the cooling package, which means that zero power is diverted to cool the exhaust gas. The engine’s power is only used for the machines principal “working” functions, improving productivity and significantly increasing the Engine Power Management (EPM) band.

100 TIMES BETTER OFF THAN OVER A DECADE AGO. New Holland has reduced emissions 100 times over the last decade to improve the lives of farmers and their families. In real terms, this means you can run your Tier 4a compliant machine for 100 days and produce the same amount of emissions as a Tier I machine would have in just one day.

New Holland’s numbering strategy uses two key elements, related to tractor range category and maximum EPM horsepower: • The first letter, T, and following digit, either 7, 8 or 9, denotes the tractor’s range category • The second three digits represent the maximum EPM horsepower. EPM allows the tractor to automatically adjust engine output to produce extra power and torque for difficult transport, demanding PTO and intensive hydraulic applications. Then, it automatically reverts back to standard output as conditions ease. The system optimizes fuel efficiency as well as tractor performance. The result? Extra power, but only when you need it.

99C Chopping corn head The 99C chopping corn header features two chopping knives for each row unit for optimum chopping and distribution of crop residue—ideal for no-till or minimum-till farming. High-quality, self-tensioning gathering chains smoothly feed the stalks between the deck plates and towards the stalk rolls. Pinching-style stalk rolls use four knives each to efficiently pull down stalks for sustained high capacity. Cornstalks are chopped into consistent small segments at both fast or slow ground speeds.

Cornrower – the latest in corn stover technology This new innovation, offered only from New Holland, allows you to windrow corn stover at the same time you harvest without the dirt, rocks, extra trips, and labor. The unique system catches the stalk material under the corn head and creates a uniform windrow of chopped husks and cobs. This process decreases stover drydown time and eliminates extra trips through the field. It is easily attached to a New Holland 99C chopping corn head and will provide unmatched stover collection and quality.
