New York University College of Dentistry www.nyu.edu/dental/academicprograms/ddsap/index.html Description of Program New York University College of Dentistry (NYUCD) offers Advanced Placement into the D.D.S. program for the internationally trained dentist who seeks to practice dentistry in the United States. Students admitted with advanced placement enter a three-year, full-time program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). With its culmination in the D.D.S. degree, the graduating dentist has met the educational requirement for licensure.

Requirements to Apply to Program English Language Proficiency Must be proficient in the English language All applicants must take the TOEFL to be considered for admission Accept Internet-based TOEFL (iBT) and Paper-Based (PBT) exams Minimum score required on iBT is 95 and for PBT is 587 Must submit original TOEFL score report directly from ETS to NYUCD (not to ADEA CAAPID) Candidate’s copies are not accepted. TOEFL exam is valid only for two years, and must not expire before the start date. National Board Dental Examination Requirements Program requires passage of Part I NBDE to be considered for admission Must submit original NDBE1 score report directly from the ADA to NYUCD (not to ADEA CAAPID) Candidate’s copies are not accepted. We will not accept NDB1 exams taken more than five years ago. Letters of Evaluation Program requires three Letters of Evaluation Program requires one Letter of Evaluation to come from Dean of dental school from which applicant graduated Transcripts and Evaluations Applicant must submit official course by course evaluation to ADEA CAAPID by ECE. We do not accept evaluations from WES or any other credential evaluators. Official transcripts from dental program(s) must be submitted directly to NYUCD (not to ADEA CAAPID) Official Dental Diploma/Degree (Provisional Certificate not accepted) must be submitted directly to NYUCD (not to ADEA CAAPID) If you are currently in or have completed a Graduate or Masters Program, please submit official transcripts directly to NYUCD (not to ADEA CAAPID) If official dental diploma and transcripts are not in English, please submit a notarized copy of the translation from an accredited translator.
Application Fees Send application fee (US$100) to NYUCD after submitting the ADEA CAAPID application. Monery Order or Personal check must be made out to NYU College of Dentistry. Other Documents That Should Be Sent Directly to Program (not to ADEA CAAPID) . Please email to
