Professional Musicians for all Occasions PROFILE ~~ Nobody’s Bizness ~~ 5 Piece Variety Band Nobody's Bizness has a sound that is an eclectic mix of Blues, R&B, Funk, Second Line, and Rock. It is both unique and fun, but, above all good! A solid five-piece band, consisting of Bass, Guitar, Piano/Hammond, Vocals & Drums. The band is lead by Vocalist-Kelly Halter, an Oregon Native and a small town girl from Silverton. Her powerhouse vocals, fierce with passion and heart-felt soul bring to mind Janis Joplin, Bonnie Raitt, and Susan Tedeschi. Pianist-Ed Connell(not pictured), an east-coast native, adds a soulful feel that is as flashy as it is funky. Add to this the passionately & expressive guitar work of Bob Demary, our very own “drumming machine” - Stanny Nidbalski and funky bass work of Don Guntly (not pictured), and the combination is an irresistibly infectious, danceable groove that is topped off with plenty of powerful vocal harmonies. This is a band that won’t let you sit still - you’ll be movin’ and groovin’ to an eclectic mix of rockin’ Blues, R&B, Funk, Second Line & Rock with a splash of sass and a whole lot of heart and soul! Enjoy the Show! About the Band: Nobody's Bizness got its start in February of 2002, when Kelly Halter answered an ad for a band seeking a lead singer. A few years, and several band members later, the result is a solid five-piece band, consisting of Vocals, Piano/Hammond, Guitar, Bass and Drums. MISS KELLY – LEAD VOCALS: Powerhouse vocal extraordinaire, fierce with passion and heart-felt soul, best describes Lead Singer and remaining original band member from 2002, Miss Kelly Halter. "…This lady has sass…"says Pauley Styrene, Positively Entertainment. An Oregon Native, born and raised on a pig farm in Silverton, Miss Kelly always new from the time she was a little girl, she wanted to sing and perform. She came to her singing career slowly. "I was a bit shy and somewhat self-doubting of my vocal gift, I couldn't quite find the courage to do solo parts in the High School Choir. I even recall a time when my 2nd grade teacher complimented me on my whispery, yet pretty voice, as she asked if I could sing louder so I could be heard," says Miss Kelly. "…Mmmm…not so much of a problem anymore." - Pauley Styrene, Positively Entertainment.

Professional Musicians for all Occasions PROFILE ~~ Nobody’s Bizness ~~ ED CONNELL – PIANO/HAMMOND/VOCALS: Pending Update! BOB DEMARY – GUITAR/VOCALS: Bob has been a professional musician for over 30 years and began his musical career in a small city in Western Massachusetts, playing with lots of local musicians, some of whom would later back up cats like Arlo Guthrie and Harry Chapin who were from that area. He later moved to Santa Barbara, CA and played with a number of college bands in the S. California area gaining oodles of good rock and blues experience. Around 1985 Bob relocated to the Portland, OR area to attend Law school, where he continued to develop his emphasis on blues and early rock and roll where he has spent the previous 19 years working with several local area groups including: No Alibi, Ms. Demeanor and Groove Session, touring the local NW Oregon music scene eventually coming to the crossroads with Nobody's Bizness. DON GUNTLY – BASS/VOCALS: Pending Update! STANNY ‘the machine’ NIDBALSKI – DRUMS: Born in Riga, Latvia (EUROPE), Stanny is a well traveled musician with enormous experience playing bars, clubs, county fairs, Blues, Country, Jazz and Rock festivals, as well as recording both in the US and in Europe. He is a recent Oregon transplant from Moscow, Idaho, with his name linked to at least half a dozen popular Northwest bands of different musical genres. Rock, Blues, Top 40, Country, Metal; he's done it all. His impeccable meter and great ears combined with relentless drive for perfection has earned him praise and respect from his former and current band mates. "Stanny Nidbalski is a solid, tasty and pervasive, no-nonsense performer who keeps out of the way. He's almost invisible on a darkly lit stage, until you focus on the groove and let it carry you away, and then you realize his genius as rhythmic infrastructure." (Pauley Styrene, Positively Entertainment & Dining, vol. 29, no 9) Stanny's just a Drumming MACHINE! References & Quotes: Gregory Johnson President, Cascade Blues Association [email protected] 4/5/07 email = Quote: Thanks go to you Kelly, and the band!! I had several people come up to me and say how much they enjoyed your set last night. You were terrific!! We'll certainly keep in touch for future events, believe me.” 4/7/07, posting in the CBA Message Forum, Quote: “This band gave a superb performance at the CBA monthly meeting this past Wednesday. If you missed out on that show, do yourself a favor and check them out. Even if you did see them Wednesday, they're worth seeing over and over again!!”

Professional Musicians for all Occasions PROFILE ~~ Nobody’s Bizness ~~ To all future Nobody's Bizness Band Fans: The Nobody's Bizness Band recently played at my 50th birthday party and they tore the house down! From 9 to 90 everyone was on the dance floor sweating up a storm. The evening was topped off with a special "Mr. President" style version of happy birthday sang to me by Miss Kelly. They can play anything from rock to blues, reggae to zydeco and even learned some Johnny Cash for me. As far as I am concerned Nobody's Bizness is the best value in the live music business around, if you don't believe me go listen to them, we do all of the time. Sincerely: Bobby Meyer, [email protected] "Our wedding aboard the Portland Spirit rocked with the fabulous performance by Nobody's Bizness. In addition to providing music for all age groups, we were also honored with a dedicated song written specifically for us by Miss Kelly. Our guests commented on what a great band they were and we agree! David & Ann Brandt" Venues: C.I.
