Francesco Nucci A Short Bio Francesco Nucci is Professor of Economics at the University of Rome “La Sapienza” and Director of the Master and Ph.D Programs in Economics. He holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Columbia University (New York) and his areas of expertise are macro and international economics. He has published in leading scholarly journals such as The

Journal of International Economics, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, European Economic Review, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control and Journal of Banking and Finance.

He is member of the Advisory Board at the Italian Department of Treasury where he consults on the development and use of econometric models for policy analysis of the Italian Treasury (Ministry of Economy and Finance). He has also consulted for the development of statistical models at the State General Accounting Department (RGS) to forecast financial flows between Italy and the EU Institutions (between 2004 and 2013). He has served as economic counsellor of the Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Italian Council of the Ministers, Mr. Enrico Letta (2006 – 2008). Before joining academia in 1996, he has worked at the Bank of Italy as Economist in the Research Department (1995 – 1996). In 1993 he has worked at the World Bank (Washington D.C.) within the Summer Employment Program. He has been Visiting Professor at the Beijing Normal University, the China Academy of Social Science (Beijing China) and at the Asia-Europe Institute, University of Malaya (Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia).
